
Piper Chick
Piper Chick was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina on July 16, 2003. She was one of five kids to Andy and Karen Chick. She started her career in 2008 performing in Jack Britt High School's production of The Wizard of Oz where she was a munchkin. She then began taking classes at Cape Fear Regional Theatre. She then went on to be in several of their theatre camps and in 2017 she started teaching at their camps. From 2008-2019 she performed in Cape Fear Regional Theatre's yearly production of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever where her roles ranged from baby angel to Imogene. Along with performing in their mainstage season starting in 2019, she interned at Cape Fear Regional Theatre and stage managed for some of their main stage season such as Shrek The Musical. After graduating high school she performed in The Gilbert Theatre's one-act play festival as Anne Boleyn in The Real Problem.


She then attended Virginia Commonwealth University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre with a minor in education and musical theatre. During her time in school, she worked at Firehouse Theatre as a Theatre Assistant. Along with working on their mainstage season on the tech and administrative side she also was in two workshops at Firehouse Room 101 and I Tried to Say I Love You but I had a Cigarette in my Mouth. In her junior year, she performed in VCU's Shafer Alliance Laboratory Theatre's first musical 21 Chump Street where she was in the Ensemble and was Naomi's understudy. She also had her first show in the Richmond Community as The Ghost of Christmas Past in The Phantom Players' production of Christmas Carol. She also was the assistant stage manager for Doomsday Theatre Company's very first production, Firebringer, where she was also a swing. She continued being the queen of understudies as she was in VCU SALTS production of Little Women as Aunt March but was also the Beth and Marmee understudy. She also was in Phantom Players production of Anastasia as Ensemble and the Anya understudy where she did get to go on and perform as Anya. In 2024 she got the chance to work at SPARC (School of Performing Arts in the Richmond Community) where she was the Lead Teacher for their preschool summer camps. She also stage-managed for their August Adventurers camp where the students put on a production of Finding Nemo.
In her senior year of college, she continued her busy streak with Homefront Players' production of Legally Blonde as Enid Hoopes. She also was in Doomsday Theatre Company's workshop of Black and Gold a song cycle about love and loss. Immediately followed by The Lynn Theatre's production of Alice By Heart where she played The Queen of Diamonds. Her director Foster Solomon has proclaimed how he loved her professionalism and comedic timing. She finished out her college career as Fiona in the Phantom Players production of Shrek The Musical. She will be attending the College of Charleston Master of Arts in Performing Arts Teaching with a concentration in Theatre in the Fall of 2025.
